Embarkation was a little chaotic being Christmas Eve as there wasn't enough porters to take the luggage. The total passengers for this cruise was 2795 (including 750 children).
We ate in the Versailles restaurant.
Well it is Christmas day and of course Santa is here handing out gifts to the young children. This cruise is mostly families, so a younger crowd. We have made reservations at the Endless Summer Restaurant for our Christmas dinner then on to the Christmas Variety Show.
Great weather today 86F and sunny. Today we attended a cooking demonstration, then watched Mr. Harry Chest then on to some Italian language lessons and finished with a chocolate tasting. The show tonight is Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's Music of the night.
Sunny - 87F
Our tour was Acapulco Bay Sunset Sail. We were two couples and two crew that sailed out to Acapulco Bay and saw a magnificent sunset as you will see in photos. When sailing back all the city's light were on. What a beautiful sight.

We arrived at 7AM and we had to meet our tour for 7:15AM - Ixtapa Highlights & Shopping. Our first stop was a traditional lookout to the port of Zihuatanejo that still has the typical Mexican town feel - laid back and quaint. Next we when to the Ixtapa resort area where all the 4 and 5 star hotels are located. We stopped at a small crocodile farm and flee market. Next we when to Emporio Hotel for a nice cold beer. We walked their grounds. What a beautiful beach.
Another sunny and warn day in the mid 80's. Today our tour is called Town, Country & Tequila. Our tour begins with a drive through the Marina Vallarta area and a stop at a small village's local church. Then on to the Hacienda Dona Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area for a first hand look at the manufacturing process. We were able to sample four kinds of tequila, have a beer and do some shopping.
Another short shopping stop in the center of Puerto Vallarta where we walked along the popular Malecon, visited the Cathedral of our Lady of Guadelupe, saw City Hall, seeing the waterfront, beaches and the charm of the cobblestone streets before returning to the ship.
Perfect weather again mid 80's. Our tour today is called Coastal Highlights. Baja California's peninsula is known for its dramatic scenery of desert terrain and rugged coastline marked by many unusual formation.
We first stop at a local Glass Blowing Factory where the workers made a glass sea turtle.
Our next stop is at Sunset Da Giogio restaurant for a beer and to admire the panoramic view of the Bay of Carbo San Lucas with its monumental rock formations rising from the sea and we can see our ship anchored in the bay.
Next we visited Cacti Mundo, an ecological cactus garden. This cactus collection contains over 750 species of cactus from around the world, with a total of nearly 15,000 cactus.
We then stopped in San Jose del Cabo, a picturesque town. We visited the mission church. We also drove through the residential districts and the beach side hotel zone.
Today you can feel the temperature drop as we are on our way to Los Angeles. The pool area is almost empty.
As the day moved on, you can feel the festivities in the air. We had a nice supper at the Endless Summer Restaurant, watched the show then went to the Carousel Bar to finished our evening. Everyone had a hat, noise makers and a glass of champagne to ring in the New Year.
this was the easiest de-embarkation that we ever had. We zipped through Immigration, retrieved our suitcases and was ready for our ride to our hotel near LAX. We fly out tomorrow afternoon.
